Become A Referee

Soccer Referees Needed!

Interested in becoming a new referee, looking for continued referee education, mentoring, or need to renew your referee licensing?  We are a proud member of the East Bay Referee Association (EBRA), which provides courses and excellent resources for its pool of referees, from which we hire.  Our referees must be assigned by the East Bay Referee Association (EBRA).  If you are a new referee, please visit the EBRA website at https://eastbayrefs.org/and/or contact EBRA General Manager, Moe Shafai, at moeshafai@eastbayrefs.org to be added to the EBRA system.

The benefits of becoming a referee are vast for both adults and youth.  Especially for youth players (eligible at 13 years and above), benefits include the opportunity to earn money, expand your knowledge of the game, develop responsibility in the workplace, enhance your time management skills, and much more.

We are committed to the growth of our referee pool and are offering the following financial incentives to new referees. We are offering a $125 reimbursement for anybody who becomes newly certified or recertifies between now and December, 2025.  New referees will be reimbursed by RAGE after working 5 RAGE home games between now and December, 2025, upon the completion of these games.  Please email Tamie Shadle at tamieshadle@pleasantonrage.org for reimbursement once you have completed these 5 RAGE home games.

Additionally, any referee, returning or new, will also qualify for the following bonus structure for the balance of the Spring season through December, 2025.
